The Government of West Bengal on July 22, 2026, extended date for filing appeals or applications before the Appellate Tribunal under Section 112 of the West Bengal GST Act, 2017, superseding the earlier notification dated February 24, 2026.
For appeals relating to orders communicated before May 1, 2026, the appeal may be filed up to July 31, 2026. For orders communicated on or after May 1, 2026, the normal three-month period from the date of communication will apply. Similarly, applications relating to orders passed before February 1, 2026 may be filed up to July 31, 2026, while applications concerning orders passed on or after February 1, 2026 may be filed within six months from the date of the order. The notification is deemed effective from June 30, 2026.
